As the global economic meltdown looms outside, Chris
and Doug huddle in the bomb shelter (aka the studio)
to wait out the Armageddon. We kill the time
by eating stale danish and playing great tunes from
indie and alternative artists like Yo La Tengo, the
Raconteurs, Squeeze, Foo Fighters, Pavement and
Michael Franti. Don't miss a special 80's
block with tunes from When in Rome, Icicle Works,
Depeche Mode and the Cure. Kentucky Marc drops
a few tracks from a the Nick and Norah movie.
And then after the smoke has cleared and the rubble
has been cleared away, we peak out our heads.
We've been watching the riots on a monitor 20 floors
below sea level, from our bunker. We did it!
We beat the bastards of city hall! |
